CSA – Community Supported Agriculture
Community Supported Agriculture is more than a simple business agreement between farmer and produce buyer; it is a partnership based on mutual respect with a commitment to support each other.
The farmer commits to growing the freshest, healthiest food possible typically using organic and biodynamic practices. The buyer commits to purchase, in advance, a portion of the upcoming season’s harvest, sharing with the farmer the risk of planting, tending, and harvesting the crop. This partnership helps insure the farmer’s ability to provide healthy food long into the future so that we may all may continue to eat nourishing local food.
